Torrie's First Dance Class

Torrie in her first Toddler Dance Class. She loves it now, but had to watch twice to learn everything. She has the dream feet - my dancers ask her to point whenever they see her because they are all jealous! I do understand she is only two and probably all two year olds have great arches and high releve's...but if I have anything to say or do about it...I will mold her feet and cultivate them for later! That is, if she chooses dance! mmmm I better keep those hypnotic tapes going at night and videos going throughout the day! Video to come!

Hale Bop or Torrie's Tots!

At first I was brought back to the Hale Bop days in Rancho Santa Fe...then I realized it was just Torrie running her own Day Care in our family room. Apparently I walked in on nap time!

I have put my foot down - this is the last Star Wars year! Blake insisted on being a clone trooper, which secretly excited Sven to put on his Darth Vader costume. I had not worn my Princess Leah costume that came in a day late last Star Wars halloween eve...so it worked out this year. Torrie, however, wanted to be supergirl! Oh and yes, we did trick or treat with Osama Bin Laden (our friend Flip).

A whirlwind of a weekend - Sven, Quintin and Kevin flew to Michigan at 11 pm Friday night, spent the whole day with the U of Michigan Football team and got to be on the field for the game against Michigan State. Sven escorted Quintin to fraternity parties that night - I don't remember him even going to fraternity parties when he was in college. What we do for those we mentor!!

Sven surprised me and took me to see Ringo Star for my birthday and for his...umm...well

we made him a Star Wars cake!

4S Ranch hosts the "Life is Good" Pumpkin Festival every year. Blake loves to see the signs - Pumpkins are Coming - leading up to it. Sven was in Michigan at the State vs. University game freezing while we were making scarecrows, carving pumpkins, riding ponies, doing cake walks....good times, good times (as Blake would say!)

Torrie's new favorite spot - La Jolla! Nope, not our backyard - that would be Micah's! Just to the right are the seals. This has been both my study break and Blake and Torrie's field trips lately!
